Model Ship Builder CD
LowBridge developed an entire magazine archival
four-CD set for
Seaways Publishing, Inc. using the same general format and concept as the
Seaways’ Ships in Scale First 10 Years and the
"Original" Ships in Scale CD sets.

Work Description:
For this project, LowBridge:
-
modified the design to suit the differences between the magazines.
-
incorporated improved magazine page image quality and “printer friendly” feature.
-
created an electronic index (there was no existing electronic index).
-
modified the JavaScript search engine as necessary to suit the new index and to incorporate improvements suggested by end users.
-
modified page templates with generic links & navigation features to suit the magazine.
-
scanned magazine page images.
-
integrated page templates and scanned page images.
-
performed quality assurance prior to production.
-
produced CD-R premasters for use by the CD production facility to produce the stamped production CD’s.
-
will provide end user technical support on an ongoing basis via email.
Project Status:
The first printing of the Model Ship Builder Magazine CD set is currently being marketed by
Seaways Publishing, Inc.
